Lazy Lover's Day

Welcome back,

Lazy Lover's Day

Your chest pressed against my back
Your arms wrapped around my waist
Your breath tickling my neck
My long hair covering my breast
Our feet touch under cover
The fingertips of your right hand
Playfully walk around my naked arm
Your left hand's finger
Are tied gently to mine
The heat of our bodies warm us
When rain knocks on the windows

Chronicles of a 19 Years Old Moroccan Girl #11

Welcome back,

                                                          Chapter 12 : I am an Extra

Now I'm supposed to work for my quiz, but I felt inspired to write this little things to all of you.

It's late at night and those are raw thoughts.

I don't open myself up even though I talk too much. I do talk about my passions, my knowledge, my positions ... but never about myself. For the simple reason that I don't really know who I am.

I always felt that I was an Extra

Mosaic and After Taste

This poem is for/ inspired for one of my friends that went thru horrible horrors in her/his life :

Welcome back,

The after taste is the worst
The taste of Fear and Inability
Powerless
Teared apart
An autumn leaf under the pawn of the wolf

You're numb
You're full of life
You're quiet
You're energetic
You're fragile
You're strong

You drink your wiskey in a shattered glass
The shot burns you throat
The cries of your loved one
burns you heart

Chronicles of a 18 years Old Moroccan Girl #10

Chap 11 : إن الفتى من يقول ها أنذا ليس الفتى من يقول كان أبي

Translation : It's an Arab proverb: The value of the person is defined by who is, not by who was his  who is his father.

Based on a True Story :

Long story short, someone stole my smartphone on the train station.

Instead of offering any help, the security agents only made me feel confused. They also discouraged me to try to find the thief.

Even though losing my cellphone didn't bother me as much as the fact that nobody helped, yet I tried to report the theft so I went to the police station.

The following events went like that :

I met a police officer (I guess he was) really sitting comfortably in his chair :

Me : Hello, I'm here to report a theft.
Police officer : ....
Me : .... ?
Police officer *staring really annoyed* : Where and when did it happen ?

Meet Dina aka the Artist Didsy

Welcome back,

I'm a room full of art canvas.  I took a quick glance at them, and immediately picked up the pattern "Deers", but I was more interested in the girl adjusting the paintings to make them look perfect.

She was the artist !

I found her interesting, and tried to start an awkward ( hehehe yeah that's me ) conversation. I learned that she is a self-taught artist, but she also has a bachelor & master degree.

Lately, while reading my Facebook feed I found out that she started her first solo exhibition  "Deer Love" at l'Uzine. What a great opportunity to get to know Didsy!

Who is Didsy ?

Take those Feelings Away

Welcome back,

Please, take those feelings away
What started with a leaking tap
ended up with a powerful waterfall
Your sweet voice floats with blood in my veins
Fogetting your smile is harder than forgetting my name

Take those feeling and shut them up
Like I want to shut the echoes of your sleepy voice
Still, it's on repeat in my head like a litany
My prayers to make it stop blur in your laughters

Chronicles of a 18 Years Old Moroccan Girl #9

Welcome back,

Chapter 11 : Red Light On Human Behavior !

This summer, I traveled abroad.
It was interesting. I got to play find the 7 millions differences between my mother country and the hosting one.

The striking difference was the behavior of the citizens. In europe, my feet were my only carriage and I had to use to road a lot. All those times, the cars would stop whenever I would cross the road on the pedestrian crossing This little detail was almost shocking for me because one day in my home a car almost ran on me while I was crossing the street ... on the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

Meet Sofia, Blogger and Designer From Fashion Bakchic

Welcome back,

I got the chance to interview one of the most inspiring people (at least for me). The first time I saw Sofia from Fashion Bakchic was on a TV show. After I spent time stalking her on Instagram and Facebook (don't act like you don't do it), travelling with her through her amazing photos and discovering a whole new facet of my country, I decided to ask her for an interview ... AND SHE ACCEPTED

Sofia is not only a stylish woman, she is also a pulse of creativity. She mixes so easily two diffirent cultures the oriental and occidental and add to it a special touch of the immortale moroccan berber colors and textures.

Let's discover WHO is Sofia ?

Chronicles of a 18 Years Old Moroccan Girl #7

Welcome back,

Chapter 7 : Is He a Different Moroccan ? Based on a true story

"Moroccan Muslims and Moroccan Jews were living in peace and harmony. After all, we are all moroccans."

I wanna share with you an experience that I lived.

It happened while I was on the plane on my way back to Morocco. I was awkwardly searching for my seat while being annoyed by the crowd behind me (Yeah, students don't get to travel in the first class)

I whispered something in moroccan arabic and an old man already sitting (lucky one!) looked at me with eyes wide open like a child that you surprised with his favorite candy.

He asked me in a weird moroccan arabic: "Are you moroccan ?"
I replied annoyed : "Yeah"
He didn't take the hint and carried on the conversation while I was trying to figure out where the hell should I put my luggage: " Have you ever visited Marrakech ? There is this small village there called..."
I answered quickly determined to stop this conversation right away : "Yeah"

I found my place a couple of seats away from the old weird man. I was sitting next to a father. His son was next to the old man. Long story short, I exchanged the seat with the son so that he can be next to his father during the flight.

Here I am sitting next to the old man and his wife. As I was trying to avoid any attempt to socialize like we would avoid the plague, I pluged my earphones in my device and let myself carried on by the music ignoring the old couple next to me. ( I realize that I'm a b*tch )

During dinner time, we all had our regular plate but the old couple. had a special one : a KOSHER one.

A Stamp On His Passport

Welcome back,

All he wanted is a stamp in his passport
A permission given from above
Search for another place to call home
Because he left his behind
He came begging to the door
Knees on the dust
Face on the sand
Begging for a place to hide
For a place where he can feel safe
For a place where he can dream
For a place where he can live
Without worrying if tomorrow

Poem For a Fuckboy

Welcome back,

This poem is for you fuckboy
Breastfed with patriachy
Don't read it if  you mind swears
Raw language or reality
Excuse me if I destroy your ideal
That a lady should stay classy
Should not speak up for herself
And be at your mercy
Call it poetry or prose
Or a rythmic plead
For the lost souls
That patriachy demeans

This poem is for you fuckboy
Breastfed with patriachy

Chronicles of a 18 years old Moroccan Girl #4

Chap 4 : Society of Contradiction

Have you ever felt guilty for buying something expensive? I get this feeling a lot.

I live in a crazy society. “Crazy” is the only adjective I can think of to describe this society. You’ll find very rich people and very poor ones, hype neighborhood and popular ones, highly educated professors and illiterate women who can’t write their own name. My society reminds me of a pyramid were the fiercest animals consume the mass and not everyone has the chance to survive or to “live”

Open letter to my Anxiety

Dear Anxiety,

They say that you show yourself when I'm about to step into the world of adults, but I feel like I've known you for a long time. You are this long lost childhood friend, I picture you in my childhood memories with a blurry face and I know it's you. You've always been around me, holding me tight in your suffocating embrace.

Updated

Welcome,

You've noticed that it's been a while since I last posted something in my blog. I wrote a little post to apologize without giving additional informations about the real reason behind the fact that I "lost my muse"

When I first started this blog, it was a way for me to know a little bit more about myself , but at the same time share this part of myself with you, reader.
However, it didn't go as planned. In an attempt to make my audience grow I started writing what I would qualify as bad quality posts, just for the sake to write. I felt like I had no emotions and no content. That's the main reason why I stopped.

Now, I want to redirect this blog in a way that it's going to show ME. My posts are going to be differents (or not ). One thing for sure, I'm not going to write things just to WRITE, and  keeping up with this blog won't feel like an assignement anymore.

With love,

Ouej
